What’s the UK’s most affordable holiday destination?

New research has found Britain’s best value destination – and it’s *drum roll* Great Yarmouth.

Yes, the traditional seaside town offers more than deckchairs and ice creams. It’s also the most affordable destination, according to a survey by holidaylettings.co.uk.

The coastal Norfolk town faced stiff competition from the likes of Bridlington, Pickering and Llandudno in Wales for its thrifty offerings, but won out thanks to its affordable accomodation.

A two-bedroom property in Great Yarmouth during November and December is £249 on average, compared to a two-bedroom home in Newquay which has an average price of £562.

Great Yarmouth staycationers can spend time at their famed theme park Pleasure Beach, or go wild at Sea Life. It houses the Hippodrome, the UK’s only remaining circus building, and there’s arcades, fairground rides and leisure centres a-go go. Tempted?
