Sacre bleu! Air France launches hipster airline

Air France is set to launch an airline for millennials in September.

The so-called hipster airline, called Joon in reference to “jeune,” or young, in French, will be “aimed at a young working clientele, the millennials (18 to 35 year-olds), whose lifestyles revolve around digital technology”, according to an official statement.

It will be a digitally-savvy airline operating medium-haul flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Air France has released images of what the crew’s trendy-casual outfits will look like, with staff donning blue-and-white colorway with sneakers, ankle pants, blazers, and buttoned-up polos which are reflective of the new airline’s chosen buzzy marketing terms, including “authentic,” “connected,” “lifestyle brand,” and “designed to meet requirements and aspirations.”

“This generation has inspired us a lot,” Air France’s VP says in a statement.
