A “middle lane hogger” was pulled over by police after blocking motorway traffic for 11 miles.
Traffic officers described the incident as “one of the worst cases of lane hogging” they had even seen after the silver car motorist was pulled over for careless driving.
The driver was said to be “completely oblivious of traffic around them” after they failed to move into the slow lane during an 11-mile stretch on the M20.
The driver was eventually stopped by an unmarked patrol and escaped a penalty fine.
They were handed a traffic offence report (TOR) according to Kent Police today .
A spokesperson said: “This driver who was driving on the M20 is guilty of one of the worst cases of lane hogging ever seen by the RST.
“A total of 11 miles in lane two, blocking other vehicles, completely oblivious of traffic around them.
“TOR issued for careless driving.”
The driver could be offered an educational course after escaping a penalty fine.
It comes as another middle lane hogger on the M20 was slapped with a £100 fine this week and faces having three points added to their licence.
The driver was stopped and issued a TOR by officers for driving in the middle lane for three miles from London to Folkestone, Kent.
