Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said: "The invaders wanted to shoot again, but they forgot what a nuclear power plant is. Russia endangers the whole world. We have to stop it before it's too late."
Ukrainian officials said the attack was ‘spit in the face’ of Turkey and the United Nations, which brokered the agreements.
The Council said it also wanted to make any refugees who were being settled in the village feel "safe and welcome".
The “unimaginable tragedy in Ukraine moved me to respond in the most significant way I could,” he wrote on social media.
