Child predators not from ‘one background’, NSPCC tells Home Secretary
The Home Secretary singled out British Pakistani men as a major source of concern amid Government plans to crackdown on grooming gangs.
The Home Secretary singled out British Pakistani men as a major source of concern amid Government plans to crackdown on grooming gangs.
The home secretary Suella Braverman made the controversial remark at last year’s Tory Party conference in Birmingham.
“There have been mocked-up images of Suella standing outside concentration camps, outside Auschwitz, laughing. I find that offensive."
The home secretary was shown footage of the aftermath of a protest that resulted in live rounds being fired at immigrants by authorities.
The street was quiet and they did not stop to chat to any of the small number of people out and about or go into any shops.
They might want to look closer to home next time they hit out at so-called 'snobbish critics' of the government's asylum seeker plan.
The shadow home secretary put Braverman to task over her weekend trip to Rwanda, where she visited properties earmarked for asylum seekers.
"If Rwanda is such a great policy... why did Suella Braverman only invite right-leading media organisations to Rwanda?"
"This photo will define Suella Braverman’s political career. And not, I suspect, in a good way," Dan Hodges said.
