The prime minister is facing calls to explain the purpose of a “secret” meeting with the senior civil servant.
Treasury minister Simon Clarke insisted the Prime Minister did not instigate the meeting ahead of the publication of the partygate inquiry.
Reports have suggested the document, which is expected to be published in the coming days, will feature photographs of illegal parties.
As he battled to defend himself Mr Johnson claimed Sir Keir “used his time prosecuting journalists and failing to prosecute Jimmy Savile”.
The former prime minister launched a must-watch attack on her successor after the publication of Sue Gray's report.
Sue Gray's report hit out at a string of "failures of leadership and judgment" in Downing Street.
The senior civil servant's long-awaited report said "some of the behaviour" at Downing Street "is difficult to justify".
Downing Street confirmed an ‘update’ into the Partygate inquiry will be published on Monday afternoon.
