Royal College of Nursing general secretary Pat Cullen made the comment after Steve Barclay described the strike as ‘disrespectful’.
Health Secretary Steve Barclay said he was ‘regretfully’ applying to the High Court to declare industrial action planned for May 2 unlawful.
She said Mr Barclay "showed total belligerence to the nursing profession this afternoon, he closed his books and walked away".
