The head of the Royal College of GPs described the attack on medics from some politicians as “abuse”.

The Mail reported that doctors who don’t see patients in-person will be “named and shamed” in league tables.

Labour lashed out at an "empty speech that will hugely disappoint" thousands of patients waiting for treatment.

"The fact that this is the first thing you see when coming into our hospital makes my stomach turn and made me want to turn around and go back home," one hospital worker said.
