Thin on policy but high on emotion, the Labour leader's 90-minute speech outlined his priorities for government.
"Piers Corbyn disrupts a Jeremy Corbyn event which is itself a protest against the Labour Party Conference from which im assuming both Corbyns are banned," wrote one perplexed twitter user.
“It’s vital that as we face the recovery and the long-term transition of a green future that this party does not turn its back on the democratic public ownership."
“In the last leadership election, our members and unions were promised unity, but instead we are given division."
Corbyn said the current leadership “props up rather than challenges our broken political and economic system”.
Starmer wants to scrap ‘One Member, One Vote’ in favour of a controversial return to an electoral college.
The TSSA union said the move is "the sort of thing associated with Victorian Tories”.
Angela Smith warned Corbyn against doing anything "un-Labour" or "un-comradely".
