The Brexit Opportunities minister has written to readers of The Sun this week asking them for tips on his new role.
"‘Brexit Opportunities’ and ‘Government Efficiency’ - two oxymorons there. To be honest, I saw Rees-Mogg as being more suited to ‘Minister for Twirling Moustache while Laughing at the Poor.’"
The 'Minister for BO' previously said it could take 50 years to reap the benefits of Brexit.
"Tell me you had bad sex education without telling me you had bad sex education," Sophia Smith Galer commented.
“The leadership of Boris Johnson this country has had has been so brilliant," he told reporters stationed outside No 10.
A historian suggested that the government can only "hold the present" by "twisting history".
Rees-Mogg said he stood by the comments, saying: "If you take the King's shilling you are beholden to the crown".
Prof. Sir John Curtice said Rees-Mogg's comments “are going to get repeated endlessly north of the border”.
