"I’ve never liked , still don’t and would happily live somewhere else”, the man hoping to become the next Tory MP for Tunbridge Wells said.
The 61-year-old said he hoped listeners would ‘respect’ his decision.
"Sadly too many journalists and too many people just don’t want to know," former civil servant Richard Haviland said.
