See MASONS story MNCAR: The UK's first driverless car hit the streets for the first time yesterday (tues) for trial tests which were deemed a success. The self-driving vehicles were being trialed carrying passengers while the cars operated entirely without human control. The two-seater pods, which are similar to Smart cars in appearance, are versions of the Lutz Pathfinder, the UK's first driverless car. They operate at speeds of up to 15mph without human assistance and follow routes from virtual maps.
