British companies have filled in 48 million customs declarations and 140,000 export health certificates since Britain left the EU.
Exporters and importers in Ireland have been avoiding Great Britain since Brexit came into force - with 37 new sea routes now in operation.
One expert warned trade could get even worse, because the UK government is set to introduce full controls on imports.
