The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).

“Celebrating apples being exported to India when we are losing the ability to export many products to the EU is just a distraction," a British farmer told The London Economic.
A lack of lorry drivers, abattoir staff and fruit pickers caused by Brexit is threatening both consumers’ pockets and meat such as turkeys and pigs in blankets.
“We negotiated a trade deal and instead of eliminating barriers, they created them," Michel Barnier said.
“Instead of pressuring drivers to drive in unsafe conditions, we should think about why these shortages exist," Labour's Alexandra Bulat said.
Jamie McMillan said his sales are down 40 per cent since Brexit.
“Brexit has caused us enormous problems with recruitment,” the TV presenter bemoaned after facing a lack of EU staff for her own hotel.
Frost’s latest remarks have been slammed as “a very strange way to make friends and build partnerships”.
“The main problem was the lack of information we had prior to this, as it just made forward planning impossible," one takeaway manager complained.
