Sir John Curtice says the Tories have relapsed after ‘long Boris’ diagnosis
He said the Tories have relapsed due to the "collective failure of the Conservative Party to distance itself" from the former prime minister.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is a British politician and writer serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. He was Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 2016-2018 and Mayor of London 2008-2016. Johnson has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015 and was previously MP for Henley from 2001 to 2008. He has been described as adhering to the ideology of one-nation and national conservatism.
He said the Tories have relapsed due to the "collective failure of the Conservative Party to distance itself" from the former prime minister.
Ministers were also paid more than £400,000 in severance packages.
Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Kwasi Kwarteng and Michael Gove are among the senior figures who accepted severance payments after leaving office.

Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson is the couple’s first child born since Mr Johnson left Downing Street last year.
