The Independent MP called Covid vaccinations ‘the greatest medical scandal in this country in living memory, and possibly ever’.
Mr Bridgen wants to ‘clear his name’ after allegedly being accused of antisemitism in a social media post by Mr Hancock, the High Court has heard.
Bridgen joined the actor’s party in May after being expelled from the Conservatives.
Most of the money loaned was to cover bills relating to a disastrous legal battle over the ownership of a pig farm.
Bridgen has called Blunt a "Hamas apologist" after he warned the PM over offering "unqualified support to the government of Israel".
Her remarks came after Bridgen criticised the BBC’s coverage of Covid vaccines in light of the corporation establishing its new BBC Verify service.
"Reclaim, what do they do? Do they like recycling? I don’t know what they are", one person said in the former Tory MP's constituency.
Bridgen said he will be launching a crowdfunding campaign to pay for the legal action.
