Zlatan set to cut Manchester United contract short and sign for LA Galaxy

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be heading to the west coast of America after it was revealed extensive talks have been held with LA Galaxy.

According to ESPN the Swede, who has been out of action since November, is reportedly on the brink of agreeing a switch to America that would see his second year at Old Trafford cut short.

The forward signed a one-year contract with United in August but he has seen just 187 minutes of action.

With Alexis Sanchez taking a prominent forward position opportunities to start may be few and far between for the striker, who earns an estimated £220,000 a week wage at Old Trafford.

If he does make the move he’ll face competition from Giovani dos Santos and Gyasi Zardes in the Galaxy squad.

Ashley Cole and Emmanuel Boateng will be among the other familiar faces.
