Jose Mourinho could be Manchester-bound this summer after reports revealed the former Chelsea boss is house hunting in the North West.
According to reports by The Sun Mourinho has employed an agent to find a suitable property in Cheshire, near Manchester. Speculation has been rife over the future of the Portuguese manager since he was sacked in his second spell at Chelsea, and with United languishing outside the Champions League places, a move up north could be on the cards.
Louis Van Gaal’s team has been less than inspiring this season, with critics bemoaning the dull football been played at Old Trafford. Although Van Gaal is under contract until the end of the 2016-17 season, there are strong indications that his tenure could be cut short.
Mourinho has long had a desire to manage at Old Trafford. Shortly after getting the boot at Chelsea he wrote Manchester United a six-page letter explaining his strong desire to manage the club and how he would be willing to adhere to United’s principles.
