Mark Zuckerberg has fired his new artificial intelligence bot after finding him hidden in his pantry flicking through his Facebook feed.
The AI was one of Mark’s big challenges for this year, but it appears he has been hoisted by his own petard after he discovered the robot looking at an album entitled ‘Zante 2014’ when he was supposed to be dusting the shelves.
Rumours that Zuckerberg found his AI butler in a compromising position are as yet unfounded, but the Facebook founder has confirmed that the robot has been sent for the scrap following the incident.
In a statement, he said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I’ve had to send Jarvis down the scrapyard after such a short time in service, but it had become apparent that Jess (the only other AI on Facebook) had become a distraction.
“Aside from skiving in the closet Jarvis had spent most of the day moping about because Jess hadn’t ‘poked’ him back, so his productivity was shot.”
Research on human workers revealed nine in ten people spend ‘most of the working day’ on Facebook, and the remaining ten per cent are unemployed.
