Video – Farage booed and jeered during EU speech

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor Nigel Farage had his day in the sin today during an emergency meeting of the EU Parliament, to discuss the ramification of Brexit. Farage, during his speech, told the meeting of European MEPs, “you’re not laughing now.” His comments were met with boos and jeers from many in the chamber. Farage wasn’t finished there though, he said they were “in denial” and then told MEPs that they had “never had a proper job before.” I...

Video – We’re screwed Vote Leave Tory MP “There is no plan”

By Joe Mellor. Deputy Editor So the Leave campaign got in their battle bus and drove around the country with a massive lie on the side of the bus about the NHS. Let's be honest, did you really fall for that? Actually don't answer that, seems MILLIONS did. Anyway, it is ok as the Vote Leave team had a plan in place for when we left the EU? It is all going to be ok then. Well no, no it...

Chancellor Osborne next to go?

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor After David Cameron stepped down after a resounding defeat in the EU referendum many assume that the Chancellor will now have to leave his position as Chancellor of the Exchequer. On Saturday morning, it was being signed by more than 100,000 people an hour. Only 100,000 signatures are required to trigger a debate on the subject in Parliament. Lammy hopes this...

NHS and immigration Leave promises fading away

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor Two of the main pledges to win over the electorate, by the Leave campaign, have been rowed back on. During the EU campaign reducing immigration and funding the NHS were key messages that chimed with a huge amount of voters, especially first time voters. However, only a day after the Leave victory it has been admitted that immigration levels may well remain the same and the NHS will probably not receive the £350 a week...

A Protest Vote Gone Wrong?

Is the decision to leave the EU a protest vote gone wrong? It certainly looks that way after a study revealed only 30 per cent of Leave supporters thought the UK would actually vote leave. Yesterday's results have left plenty of people in shock, with the markets in turmoil after the polls delivered an unexpected decision. Just this morning £100 billion has been wiped off the FTSE, the Prime Minister has resigned and the pound has suffered the largest currency...
