It comes as Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak have signed up to a Sky News debate after an earlier televised appearance was cancelled in the wake of fiery clashes between the candidates.
It comes as Penny Mordaunt was knocked out of the leadership race by a slender margin.
"Unless Westminster wishes to cede land down to Darlington to Scotland?" wrote one person in response to Sunak's mistake.
Starmer said the outgoing Prime Minister had been “found out” as the country has a sense that “this guy doesn’t mean a word that he says”.
"Wait until Michael Gove finds out which party has been in government for the past 12 years. He'll be furious."
