On Sunday, Police Scotland confirmed a white man local to the area had been arrested in connection with the crime.
It comes after the social media owner engaged with far-right activist Tommy Robinson on his platform.
In a televised address to the nation, the Prime Minister condemned an attack on a hotel housing asylum seekers in Rotherham.
"I have a feeling in a few years people are going to be doing what they always do when the economy tanks. They will be blaming immigrants and poor people."
The prime minister said violent disorder that is "whipped up online" is "also a crime" in a thinly veiled reference to Elon Musk's platform, X.
The men, aged 28 to 54, have been remanded in custody and will appear in court.
The Government is yet to set out how the unit would work and would be staffed, or what it hopes to achieve.
Martin Daubney was briefly handcuffed at the Cenotaph at the "Enough is Enough" demonstrations.
