The tweet was posted just a few months before Truss was made MP for South West Norfolk in the 2010 general election.
The foreign secretary was asked why Boris Johnson is still in Number 10 during the "awkward" exchange with the youngsters.
"Boris Johnson may have been our worst prime minister ever, but that doesn't mean Liz Truss can't be worse," wrote Edwin Hayward.
It comes as Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak have signed up to a Sky News debate after an earlier televised appearance was cancelled in the wake of fiery clashes between the candidates.
"I've never really bought into this idea that the establishment can stitch things up, but boy have they stitched things up here."
There was much cheering and jeering as Truss was forced to abandon her attempt to squeeze into the frontbench and retreat to the aisle.
