The PM, a multi-millionaire who wear two grand suits, decided to mock Jeremy Corbyn’s dress sense at PMQs. The outburst came as he was heckled by Labour MPs over what his mother would think about the NHS crisis.
An angry Mr Cameron shot back: “Ask my mother? I think I know what my mother would say.
“I think she would look across the despatch box and she would say ‘Put on a proper suit, do up your tie and sing the national anthem.”
The Tories loved it and laughed for a good 30 seconds,while the speaker did nothing. Labour MPs said the PM had hit a “new low” during Prime Minister’s Questions.
Ilford MP Wes Streeting tweeted: “Nasty personal attack on Jeremy Corbyn was beneath the Prime Minister. PMQs hit a new low today.”
