A teenager brought a ‘large’ kitchen knife into work and stabbed his colleague.
The 17-year-old knife attacker, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told his colleague he ‘had something to show him’ after work.
When the pair walked around Liverpool Street, central London, the teen pulled the blade out his bag and stabbed his victim, severing tendons in his arm.
CCTV footage from the attack shows the knifeman lead his colleague down a narrow alleyway – before trying to stab him repeatedly.
Narrowly avoiding his efforts, the victim struggled with the attacker – but was slashed across his wrist – puncturing his arteries.
The suspect was tracked down and arrested four hours later – where he showed officers the knife he had stashed inside a garden.
Detective Constable Gary Kearley blasted the stabbing – which lead to the teenage attacker being jailed for six years on November 9.
He said: “The City of London Police treats incidents of violent crime with the utmost seriousness and will do everything in its power to identify people involved in such crime and bring them before the courts.
“The suspects’ casual use of violence in this case, and his complete disregard for the consequences of his actions, was shocking.”
DC Kearley thanked the paramedic who was able to save the stab victim with their quick thinking.
He added: “I have no doubt the quick thinking of these two paramedics and their decisive actions saved this young man’s life.”
