Support floods in for Ava Evans following vile Laurence Fox comments

Support has flooded in for PoliticsJOE reporter Ava Evans following vile comments made by Laurence Fox on GB News.

The news channel has launched an investigation into “totally unacceptable” comments made during a broadcast with Dan Wootton, who is also currently being monitored over allegations he used a pseudonym to secretly offer colleagues tens of thousands of pounds for sexual material.

Fox made a series of remarks about Ava Evans, the political correspondent for online news site Joe, including describing her as a “little woman” during an episode broadcast on Tuesday.

Evans shared a clip of the comments on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, with the caption “Laurence Fox just did a whole speech on GB News on why men apparently won’t shag me ?” which has been viewed more than 2.1 million times.

In a follow up tweet she added that the footage made her feel “physically sick”.

Support for Evans has flooded in since, with Kate McCann describing the comments as “utterly grim”.

‘Miffy’ added that the clip is “jaw-dropping and awful”, while Simon Harris described it as “beyond grim”.
