A drug developed to treat brittle bones could cure baldness, suggests a new study. Researchers found that the drug, originally designed as a treatment for osteoporosis, has a "dramatic stimulatory effect" on human hair follicles donated by patients undergoing hair transplantation surgery. Dogs ‘could be more similar to humans than previously thought’

Dogs could be used to study obesity in humans after it was discovered that their gut harbours similar genetic material. Researchers found that the gene content of the dog microbiome showed many similarities to humans and was more similar to ours than the microbiome of pigs or mice.
