Rightwing commentator in hilarious self-own over Corbyn comments

A rightwing commentator seems to be making a habit of putting his foot in his mouth over Jeremy Corbyn comments.

Darren Grimes, who founded the pro-Brexit group BeLeave and was made famous during a court battle with the Electoral Commission, has taken to sharing images of a hypothetical world under the former Labour leader during the pandemic.

This week he sent a picture out complaining about his faulty broadband, saying: “This is what Jeremy Corbyn’s ‘free’ broadband would’ve looked like, isn’t it?”

But the picture prompted the perfect comeback after one person replied: “Except it is what the broadband you pay for under Boris Johnson actually looks like.”

It’s not the first time the political activist has been found out.

In March, when the start of the pandemic prompted panic buying in supermarkets, he wrote that the empty shelves had given us a look into life under Jeremy Corbyn’s preferred “Venezuelan alternative”.
