A 23-year-old was murdered and another man aged 22 was left fighting for his life after a double stabbing in east London last night.
It is thought the fatal victim was walking home from a kebab shop, celebrating his birthday, while the other was “disembowled.”
The pair were found with knife wounds in Hainault just after 10.20pm.
Despite efforts by police and paramedics the 23-year-old died at the scene while the 22-year-old was taken to hospital where he remains critical.
There have been no arrests and the area remains cordoned off.
Scotland Yard said: “A murder investigation is underway after a stabbing in Hainault.
“Police were called at approximately 10.20pm on Friday, 12 October to reports of two men stabbed in Manford Way, Hainault.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
“One man, believed aged 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Work continues to inform all next of kin.
“A post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
“The second man, believed aged 22, was taken to an east London hospital for treatment; he remains there in a critical condition.
“A crime scene remains in place.
“Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command investigate.
“No arrests; enquiries continue.”
