Last month, after confirming he had quit politics, for good (again), having “knocked on his last door”, Nigel Farage took to Twitter to announce his latest venture.
His latest venture turned out to be joining the celeb shoutout service Cameo “to connect with people from all over the world in a more personal way”.
In other words, for the bargain price of £63.75, Nigel will record you a “message for Mother’s Day, a birthday, a wedding or to surprise somebody”.
However, it didn’t take long before he started to get trolled. Last month we reported how scores of people took to the platform to try and get spoof messages recorded. This included journalist Carole Cadwalladr, who helped uncover the illicit funding of Vote Leave. He managed to get a personal note, calling it the “greatest £63” she has ever spent.
However, it seems more people have taken delight from asking Mr Farage for hoax personalised messages. But in true and cringeworthy Alan Partridge-esque style, Farrage appears to have let some of them slip through the net.
In this video that appeared on Twitter yesterday. Reminiscent of Bart Simpson’s infamous phone pranks, Farage can be seen repeating the message “Happy birthday Hugh Janus”, much to the delight of many Twitter users.

Although many Twitter users pointed out that, despite embarrassing himself, Nigel Farage is laughing all the way to the bank at £63.75 per message.
