A mum-of-six accused of terror offences has appeared in court after bomb ingredients were found at a house in Cardiff.
Natalie Parsons, 51 is charged with two counts of making or possessing an explosive substance with intent to endanger life.
She also faced four charges of possession of terrorist documents during an appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court this afternoon (MON).
Wearing a grey custody tracksuit and with dyed black hair, she spoke only to confirm her name, address, date of birth and nationality as British.
Chief magistrate Emma Arbuthnot remanded Parsons, who was represented by Robert Katz, in custody ahead of a hearing at the Old Bailey on September 27.
She appeared in court two days after Edward Harris, 27, was charged in connection with the investigation.
Counter terror police from Wales Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit raided a house in the Ely area of Cardiff on Wednesday.
The bomb-making chemical triacetone triperoxide (TATP) was found in a fridge at the address, it is alleged.
Harris was charged with four offences of making or possessing an explosive substance with intent to endanger life and four terror offences relating to explosives manuals.
At an earlier hearing, he was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at the Old Bailey, also on September 27.
Detective Superintendent Jim Hall, Head of WECTU, said: “Our investigation continues but we must stress that there is no evidence to suggest any specific terrorist threat against Cardiff or that people in Cardiff are at any greater risk, however we would remind people to remain vigilant and report any suspicions to the police.”
