Mhairi Black nailed the absurdity of the behaviour of the UK Government in a way only she could in a speech to the House of Commons yesterday.
The SNP MP started off by lamenting parliament for ignoring the will of Scotland, saying they voted to remain and they were ignored and the Scottish Government produced a sensible plan but that was ignored too.
She added: “There’s not a hint of regret or even an awareness of the damage they are doing.
“For the Government to set a date for for this meaningful vote and say they won’t pull the vote, to then pull the vote and use the archaic processes of this place to prevent a vote on whether to have the original vote pulled, shows how much of a fankle this government has gotten itself in.
“And to top it all off, the day finished with a woman with a sword chasing a man with a big stick!
“I mean, is it any wonder that the rest of the world are looking at this and laughing.”
