Murder Squad detectives are probing the fatal stabbing of a 25-year-old man near a north London tube station.
The victim, who has not been named, was found stabbed in Corinne Road, near Tufnell Park tube station, just before 9.30pm last night (TUES).
Police and paramedics tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene just after 10pm.
There have been no arrests, and detectives are appealing for witnesses.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “A murder investigation has been launched after a man in his twenties was fatally stabbed.
“Police were called at 9.27pm on Tuesday to reports of a male stabbed on Corinne Road, Tufnell Park. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.
“A man aged 25 was found suffering from a stab wound.
“Officers immediately provided First Aid. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10.07pm. His next-of-kin have been informed.
“Formal identification is yet to take place. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
“Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue. A crime scene remains in place.”
He added: “Extra police will be in the area and a number of enquiries, including the recovery of local CCTV footage, forensic analysis and appeals for information from the public are ongoing.”
