Detectives have charged a 24-year-old man with the murder of a dad who had his throat slashed in a row over cigarettes.
Police said Jahmel Riley is due to appear before magistrates in Bromley, south east London, charged with the murder of 39-year-old Dennis Anderson.
Mr Anderson, of Lewisham, south east London, was attacked as he made his way home from a party.
He was pronounced dead at the scene in the upmarket south London suburb of East Dulwich in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Anderson was the fifth person to be murdered in the capital in a fortnight.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Jahmel Riley, 24, of Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He has been remanded to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court.”
