Lee Anderson’s ‘fake taxi’ video ridiculed

Lee Anderson has been mercilessly mocked over a GB News video featuring him riding a black taxi in London.

The controversial Tory MP hitched a ride with Gary Fisher in what looked like an electric cab to bemoan ULEZ and Sadiq Khan’s announcement that Blackwall Tunnel will be tolled from 2025.

The charge is being levied to help pay for the construction of Silvertown Tunnel, which is being built on the side of Blackwall to relieve congestion.

Drivers could end up paying £4 to use the tunnel, although Transport for London (TfL) said that the charges have not been finalised yet.

It has also been noted that the plan to toll Blackwall Tunnel was initially suggested when Boris Johnson was the Mayor of London, which is a fact that seems to have escaped Mr Anderson.

A video posted on GB News shows the deputy Tory chair discussing the matters with a cabbie, but the video appears to have benefitted from some heavy editing.

Posting on X, Simon Harris praised Anderson for completing London’s first-ever hyperspeed taxi ride after he was spotted in the city at one moment before being transported into the countryside just seconds later.

Who wants a ride with Gary?!
