The Labour Party have mocked the Tories with a hilarious parody video just hours ahead of Philip Hammond’s budget speech.
Chancellor Hammond is expected to bring an end to austerity when he reveals the budget today, although the pledge will depend on whether Theresa May can negotiate a deal with Brussels.
A no deal may prolong austerity, Hammond has said, which will come as a blow to millions who have suffered from government cut-backs over the last decade of Tory governance.
Ahead of the speech the Labour Party have released a video mocking the chancellor, listing the harmful effects of under investment in the UK.
Homelessness, mental health services and policing have bore the brunt of Conservative cuts, with rough sleeping doubling since 2010 and police officer numbers cut by 20,000.
The Hammond impersonator tells his aid to “just cut the lot” – including taxes on the wealthy and corporations.
