Double decker bus ploughed into this London home on Boxing day.

A double decker bus ploughed into the front of a home on Boxing day.

The 118 bus on the way to Brixton in south London crashed into a car and then the front of the two-storey house in Streatham Vale just before 9pm.

Three people suffered minor injuries, while one of them was taken to hospital.

It remains unclear what caused the crash, but a neighbour said on Twitter a car “collided with the bus”.

He said: “Have not been on site since 11:30pm of last night, at which point there was an extraction vehicle for I believe the car that had collided with the bus originally, owner of the car was also standing by wearing a heat blanket but otherwise seemingly okay.”

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: “At 8.55, we were called to the Streatham area to reports of a bus in collision with a house and car.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene.

“There were three patients with minor injuries, one of whom needed to be taken to hospital by ambulance.”

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 8.55pm on Wednesday, December 26 to reports of a bus in collision with a building in Streatham Vale.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

“No reports of any serious injuries.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.”
