Doncaster woman thought paragliders were Hamas attacking the city

A Doncaster woman has become a viral meme after she hit out at paragliders for making her think Hamas was attacking the south Yorkshire city.

According to reports in The Doncaster Free Press, a woman in the village of Armthorpe got a scare from hobbyist paragliders who she spotted above her.

According to the news site, she wrote on social media: “Whoever thought it was funny to parasail over the village, it was in extremely poor taste.

“Take your twisted hatred somewhere else.

“There was two parachutes with engines like Hamas used at that festival, gave me a fright.”

The terror group orchestrated a deadly attack on the Supernova music festival in Israel on October 7th by using powered hang gliders to infiltrate the music event.

Hundreds were killed when militants opened fire on the festival-goers, with almost 200 Israelis taken hostage in Gaza.

The Doncaster woman’s remarks have gone viral on social media, although she has since backtracked somewhat to reclarify what she meant.

She said she thought the paragliders were performing a “scare tactic or protest”, rather than conducting a military assault.
