Corbyn sends Labour’s manifesto to Theresa May for policy inspiration

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn trolled Theresa May by sending her a copy of Labour’s manifesto for policy inspiration.

The PM was criticised by Tory MPs after she appealed to other parties to support her policies, saying they should “come forward” with their own ideas for policy and to “contribute, not just criticise”.

Corbyn sent her a card that read: “Dear Prime Minister, you asked for policy ideas. So here’s our General Election manifesto. Kind regards, JB Corbyn.”

The card was sent following comments in parliament from the Labour leader, who said: “I’m really surprised she [Mrs May] had so much to contribute to the G20 given there was barely a mention of international policy in her party’s manifesto, or indeed any policy, so much so that the government is now asking other parties for their policy ideas.

“And so if the Prime Minister would like it I’m very happy to furnish her with a copy of our election manifesto. Or better still, an early election in order that the people of this country can decide.”

Green MP Caroline Lucas also stepped in with a suggestion to stop selling arms to Middle Eastern autocrats such as Saudi Arabia.
