Calls for Piers Morgan’s head as ‘shagging’ comments resurface

Comments directed towards musician Sam Smith on Piers Morgan’s TalkTV show have resurfaced in light of the GB News misogyny scandal.

Dan Wootton was given his marching orders following remarks made by Laurence Fox on his show about a female journalist which have been described as “unacceptable, unjustifiable and indefensible”.

Speaking on the channel last week, actor-turned-politician Fox made a series of remarks about Ava Evans, the political correspondent for online news site Joe, including asking: “Who would want to shag that?”

He has since apologised and undergone a disciplinary hearing with the channel, although it is not yet clear whether Fox has been sacked.

Comments of a similar nature made on Piers Morgan’s TalkTV show have also resurfaced on the back of the saga.

Some have described them as being on par with the ones aired on GB News. Watch for yourself to decide:
