A swingers bar and hotel will ban sex when it reopens as coronavirus lockdown restrictions are lifted.
Xtasia, Swingers and Fetish club, one of the highest-rated places to stay in West Bromwich, West Midlands, will welcome socially-distanced guests on July 4.
The adults-only venue is in the pole position on Booking.com and boasts sex swings, bondage equipment, dungeon and an indoor dogging site.
It will relaunch as a “non-sexual bar and hotel” with attendees asked to keep two metres apart.
The owners say they will assist with the government’s test and trace system, but will be discreet if someone’s play mate is not their partner.
Temperatures will be taken on the door and anyone with high reading will be turned
away.
Attendees
A Covid-19 update on Xtasia’s website says: “Interaction of a sexual nature is not permitted between attendees.
“Our aim is to create a large social venue, where social distancing can be observed between members who are interested in swinging and fetish activities.
“Initially we can all only attend to meet socially, and no sexual activity is permitted, however over time as restrictions relax we aim to allow play to occur within a household group, and then eventually return to normal.
“We will be sticking to two metres for the time being as we have the room to do this, and it makes it safer for you and our staff.
“No sexual encounters are permitted between members. Every area within the club has a social distancing ‘maximum number’ clearly displayed at the entrance to it, no more than that number should be inside at any moment in time.
“We aim to assist with Test and Trace as much as we possibly can.
“If chatting to others at the club for considerable amounts of time, please ensure you know at least their first names or Fab ID.
“If we as a club contact you with a potential Covid outbreak, you need to be able to tell us who you were in close proximity to during the evening.
Infected
“We will be changing our T&Cs to allow us as a club to contact you should it turn out you might be infected.
“We would ask anyone who visits the club, and then contracts Covid within seven days to please contact us immediately so we in turn can contact other club attendees.
“If you need to be discreet, ie your play friend isn’t your partner, etc. let us know so we can be extra careful with contacting.
“It’s not an accurate indicator of Covid, but will allow us to refuse entry to anyone showing an abnormally high reading.
“Please don’t be upset over this if it does happen to you. Accept the reading, go home and self-isolate until you know your health situation for certain.”
Xtasia refused to comment on the story.
