A racist thug attacked almost a dozen young people during a crazed rampage – then assaulted a police officer when he was arrested.
Kevin Friend, 30, also attacked his ex-girlfriend and her neighbour during his day of rage.
The thug has now been locked up for two years after admitting two counts of common assault, racially aggravated public order and assault on an officer.
Canterbury Crown Court heard Friend, previously of Ingoldsby Road in Folkestone, began his tirade by racially abusing a security guard at a shop in Margate High Street.
He then took his campaign of abuse onto the streets, shouting racist abuse at a number of people and physically assaulting others.
And instead of stopping there, the violent thug travelled to his ex-girlfriend’s house and attacked her and a neighbour.
He also attacked a policeman after he was remanded in custody following the rampage on June 20.
He was jailed at Canterbury Crown Court on Wednesday.
Investigating officer PC Chris Radley, from Kent Police, said: “This was a particularly nasty incident. Racism should never be tolerated and the fact that he assaulted so many young people proves what a danger he is to our community.
“I would like to thank the witnesses and victims for coming together and assisting us in securing the evidence we needed to see him convicted.”
