Police appeal after man performs indecent act at this well-endowed National Trust site

Visitors to a famous National Trust spot at the weekend may have been met with a sight they weren’t there to see – as a man was caught in the middle of an indecent act.

The car park at the site of the famously well-endowed Cerne Abbas Giant in Dorset is known as one of the best places to see the hillside chalk figure.

But the naked chalk Giant was not the only one exposing itself on Saturday, August 26, as a man was spotted performing an indecent act in the middle of the car park.

Dorset Police have now released an image of the man, captured by a witness, as part of their investigation into the incident.

The man is described as white, aged in his 40s, and of stocky build, with balding, light blonde hair. He was wearing a pink short-sleeved t-shirt and blue two-tone shorts.

Police Constable Warren Cummings, of Dorset Police, said: “I am releasing the image in the hope that somebody might recognise the man.

“We would like to speak to him as part of our ongoing investigation.”

The incident took place at around 5.30pm on Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police on 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk, or by calling 101, quoting 55170133207.
