These adorable pictures show five of the smallest otter species in the world rumaging around in autumn leaves to celebrate world animal day.
The fluffy bundles of joy, who are homed at Edinburgh Zoo, were captured playing together in the leaves and looking for food which staff placed in the colouful leaves.
The oriental short-clawed otters, listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, were celebrating world animal day on October 4.
They are the smallest otter species in the world and are known for their agile, hand-like front paws that feature the short claws that give the species its name.
