A new data map has revealed a remarkable correlation between Remain-voting areas and the parts of Britain that have high concentrations of Pret a Manger’s.
The data set, entitled “Proliferation of Pret a Manger vs Leave/Remain”, shows that regions with the most Pret outlets were more likely to vote to Remain in the EU.
Whereas those that are bereft of Pret are more likely to vote Leave.
In the run-up to the referendum Pret à Manger HR chief Andrea Wareham told the House of Lords that Brexit may kill the popular cafe chain.
Only one in 50 people that apply to work in Pret is British, the rest are immigrants.
