A major hunt has been launched for a nine-year-old boy who has been missing overnight.
Leon Langford has not been seen since he was out with friends at around 4pm last nigh (Oct 7).
Police are growing increasingly concerned for the youngster’s safety and have asked for the public’s assistance.
His friends are said to have returned home from Ivy Street Play Park in Blackburn, Lancs., but there has been no sign of Leon since late afternoon.
The boy’s parents, Adele and Dave Langford are among those searching for the boy.
He is said to be white, 4ft 6in tall, slim, with red hair and was last seen wearing a green jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
If anyone sees anybody matching Leon’s description or has any information in relation to him they are being asked to call Lancashire Police on 101 or 999 and quote the reference number 1449 of October 7.
