Girl, 17, stabbed in Camberwell named as Katrina Makunova

A teenage girl knifed to death during an alleged argument with her ex-boyfriend has been named as Katrina Makunova.

The 17-year-old was stabbed in the chest and died an hour after paramedics were called to a block of flats in Camberwell, south London, at 12.16pm on Monday.

Oluwaseyi Dada, 21, was arrested at block of flats in Brisbane Street and is due to appear at the Old Bailey charged with her manslaughter tomorrow

Neighbours said he lived in the block with his Ghanean mother and had broken up with tragic Katrina months earlier.

Scotland Yard said: “Formal identification took place on Monday 16 July, confirming the victim to be 17-year-old Katrina Makunova from Lewisham.

“A post-mortem held on Saturday 14 July gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

“Her next-of-kin are aware.

“A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

“Oluwaseyi Dada, 21 of Brisbane Street, was charged with manslaughter on Friday, 13 July.

“He appeared at South London Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 14 July and was remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 18 July.”
