A daredevil known as ‘The French Spiderman’ is climbing the tallest building in the City of London – without ropes.
Footage has emerged on social media showing Alain Robert climbing the 755ft (230m) tall Heron Tower, an office block on Bishopsgate.
It is the tallest building in the City of London financial district and the third tallest in Britain, behind The Shard and 1 Canada Square, also both in London.
The 56-year-old urban climber has previously scaled world landmarks such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Empire State Building in New York, the Eiffel Tower and Sydney Opera House.
In November 2012 after he was spotted inside The Shard, the building’s owners obtained an injunction banning him from ever returning.
A City of London Police spokesman said: “There are currently road closures in place on Camomile Street down to Bevis Marks due to a man free-climbing the Sales Force Tower at 110 Bishopsgate.
“Our officers are in attendance. Please avoid the area if possible.”
