Alan Sugar hits back over racist World Cup tweet

Alan Sugar just tweeted and deleted this racist joke with a photo of Senegal’s World Cup team appearing to be selling sunglasses and handbags:

But as people pointed out how appalling his xenophobic quip was, the Apprentice TV star doubled down and was far from apologetic.

Bookmakers Paddy Power didn’t waste any time responding by opening bets that tech mogul Lord Sugar would delete his Twitter account and lose his job on the BBC series The Apprentice:

The odds of Alan Sugar hearing his Apprentice catchphrase “you’re fired” from the broadcaster are slashed from 20/1 to evens currently.

The bookies are also offering odds of 5/1 on him deleting his Twitter account before the end of the year.

Senegal beat Poland yesterday to go joint top in Group H with Japan.
