Arguably London’s most adventurous al fresco dining experience, London In The Sky will return to the Southbank next month.
Running from 5th – 15th July, London In The Sky will host a series of sky high, al fresco dining experiences – open from breakfast through to brunch, lunch, high tea, dinner and late night cocktails. What’s more, for the first time ever, three ‘sky tables’ will be simultaneously lifted from the ground, with menus prepared by some of London’s best chefs. Following the success of last year’s event, with chefs such as M Restaurants’ Michael Reid, Lima’s Robert Ortiz and Holborn Dining Room’s Calum Franklin having taken part: this year’s London In The Sky will feature Club Gascon’s Pascal Aussignac; The Dairy co-founder, Robin Gill; and Lee Westcott, formerly of the Typing Room, Noma and Per Se in New York.
Throughout the ten-day event, guests will be securely fastened at ground level before being lifted 100-foot into the air. Each sitting will see open-plan tables of 22 suspended over the Southbank, boasting unrivalled views of London landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, the OXO Tower, the Shard and the Millennium Bridge.
Moreover, the three chefs involved with London In The Sky 2018 (Pascal Aussignac, Robin Gill and Lee Westcott) have each designed lunch and dinner menus specifically for the festival and will take-over a table each. Additionally, each chef will present the menus, themselves, personally cooking for guests at their tables on Friday 6th and 13th July.
Elsewhere, the unique pop-up will serve breakfast (£50 per-person), brunch (£60 per-person), lunch (£125 per-person), high tea (£75 per-person), dinner and sunset dinner (£150-£250 per-person), plus cocktails (£75 per-person), running from 8.30am to 10.30pm each day.
